Knights of Sidonia

A straight robot SF manga depicting battles against alien species. The solar system is destroyed by a mysterious lifeform called “Gauna”, which cannot communicate with human beings. Some humans choose to live in the spaceship “Sidonia” travelling in space, procreating in the ship. A young lower-class boy, Nagate Tanikaze, who grew up in Sidonia, becomes the pilot of an enormous armed robot “Tsugumori” and devotes himself to the battles.
