Metabolism Quantized – Miyakonojo Civic Center 3D Digital Archive

A project to create 3D data of the Miyakonojo Civic Center, a building scheduled for demolition, renovate it into a building suitable for virtual space, and suggest uses and applications. The 3D data will be made available for use with AR, VR, and game spaces. The project suggests alternative methods using technology to address the preservation/demolition dichotomy, replacing and renewing the building into a place open to the information society where residents can play an active role.
