Mimi has a pimple on her cheek. She is afraid of developing faster than the other girls, and the other girls ignore her existence. This anima- tion depicts the anxiety born from group life and likens the act of liberation from it to the chrysalis’ transformation into a butterfly. The artist uses warm colors and gentle brush- strokes together with loop materials and linear camerawork, and creates backdrop images that appear to be moving.
