Outline
A series of short stories based on tales the au- thor heard directly from people around her like family and coworkers about their childhood. Using soft, carefully drawn lines and back- grounds, she tells inconsequential yet uniquely individual stories that would easily be forgotten if no efforts were made to record them. This endeavor, which could be called “found object” or modern-day “Tales of Old Japan,” evoke a sense of pathos that we all share.
