Since he was little, shapes and colors have resonated as sounds in Saku’s head. The story begins with the naïve young man’s entry into the Contemporary Music Club at Kyoto University of the Arts, a school attended by Saku’s half-brother, an elite composer, and his lover, a girl with whom Saku is infatuated. The sights and sounds of the beautiful city of Kyoto form the backdrop to this tale of young “music addicts” making music no one has ever heard before.
