NIKE KICHIJOJI 3D ILLUMINATION

This is a work to mark the 10th anniversary of Nike Store Kichijoji, utilizing the technology known as 3D projection mapping. The synchronized display is created on two perpendicular walls on the store’s show window. The space itself was first rendered in a computer simulation, and then infelicities due to such factors as point of view or depth of field were removed through 3D scanning before real shoes and shoeboxes were merged with 3D images to create a fresh new window-shopping experience.
