Optical Marionette

A proposal for a new method of creating visual illusions to control walking users without requiring them to view navigation system information. The user perceives real-world scenery via a camera and head-mounted display. Image processing by the system to create an illusion on the user’s part is provided via real-time feedback to achieve subconscious manipulation of the user’s walking direction.
