Outline
Computer-controlled electromagnets transform the glasses into resonators, while the composition of the sound emitted is based on a muon detector embedded in the work. Muons, produced when cosmic rays hit the earth’s atmosphere, are the most common form of background radiation and are tiny particles that pass through nearly all matter, including human bodies. The work allows viewers to experience the space between infinitesimal and astronomical spaces.
