Shashinkan (The Photo Studio)

One day in the prewar period, a married couple pay a visit to the proprietor of a photo studio on the top of a hill. The wife can only look down with embarrassment, but using any and every means the photographer is able to capture a photo of her smiling. Time passes, and the couple pay another visit, only this time with their beloved discontented daughter… This is a nostalgic animation showing the exchanges between the photographer and the girl together with the changing times.
