The Flood

It is a visual adaptation of a Slavic folk song telling a story of a brother and his elder sister who get tragically parted by death on one midsummer night. Three sisters go to a river on Kupala Night to fulfill the rite of throwing a wreath to see the elder sister’s future. To do this, the girl enters the bridge. She hears the Voice there who prophesies her death in this river. The work uses salt art to make a fantastical depiction of a sudden tragedy.
