In 1986, photographer Didier LEFEVRE traveled together with Médecins Sans Frontières to a turbulent Afghanistan. This is a masterpiece of nonfiction, creating a collage of LEFEVRE’s photos to depict the light and shadow of Afghanistan in the 1980s, at a time of extreme confusion. It has become a bestseller in France, selling a total of 300,000 copies, and has been translated in 15 countries around the world.
