Torokeru Tekkoujo

Torokeru Tekkoujo (A Melting lron Workshop). The central character in this unique manga is a welder at a small factory on the outskirts. The everyday lives of men slaving away for an autocratic president consist of such tasks as melting and joining iron scrap and building scaffolds for robots. Their eyes get burned due to exposure to welding light, and they fear electrocution while working outside in the rain. And their wives and daughters are there to support them. The severe realty of the welders is depicted in a relaxed, laid-back and warm style, and finished into a rich manga story.
