This sound installation uses simple rules to cre- ate a rhythm that changes sound waves in complex ways. A program has been put to- gether that breaks down the sound wave data and determines the next amplitude value, ac- cording to the rules, from the amplitude value of the adjacent data and one’s own amplitude value. This self-generates a chaos pattern without any periodicity, such as a sine wave.
