Fortunate Isles: Landings

Referencing paradise in Greek mythology, the film explores the awakening of sentience and biological complexity within digital images. Performers in the film wore chroma-key suits which during editing, allow the suit’s geomet- ric faces to be digitally replaced with hand-drawn animation. Questions of evolution and wonder surface through the subtle spac- es between layers of sculpture and animation.
