Light-bending material

Using chemical methods he devised himself, this artist succeeded in developing a transpar- ent solid-state material that changes the curve of the path of light. We can observe light change from a straight line to a curve. The hu- man brain perceives forms on the assumption that light travels in a straight line. This work suggests that technological progress will con- tinue to create discrepancies between physical reality and human perceptions.
